Christmas Mason Jar and Holiday Flowering Tree Party Invitations

I'm so excited to share some new invitation designs with you. I've been meaning to create some Christmas invitations with my popular mason jar theme, and I finally got around to getting them finished! The first set turned out really cute, with red, green and cream mason jars, hanging from a string of lights. These are available for a Christmas party, gift exchange, cookie or ornament swap, holiday rehearsal dinner, engagement party, wedding shower, baby shower, Wedding invitations, etc. Any event you'd like. 

I've also started a new option of adding a matching back side design to coordinate with the front side of the invitation. You can also purchase a back side with text if you have additional details you want to add for guests.

Love the vintage feel of these invitations! You can choose the color for the names and ampersand as well, so please be sure to include that with your order. 

I also have a new design combining the Christmas mason jar invitations above with my popular holiday flowering tree design. I altered the colors a bit to brighten them up, then added a few hanging mason jars. These are also available with just the front side of the invitation, with a matching back side, or with a back side with text.

Scrapbook Monday: 12 Months

Happy Monday, and happy Columbus Day! Not sure how you're supposed to celebrate Columbus Day, but I'm thoroughly enjoying my day off from the federal government! Hope you're having a lovely day as well. :)

Just wanted to share a quick scrapbook page with you. This is one that I didn't plan out a whole lot ahead of time, but it still turned out cute. I'm still trying to work on my perfectionist tendencies, and to simply go with the flow. I'm able to complete pages in much less time this way. How do you approach your pages? I'd love to hear your thoughts in the comments section!

For this page I used a few items from various Studio Calico kits. I love the pink feather paper - one of my favorites. I wanted to use pink and silver accents, and I think it turned out pretty cute.  :)

For the metal "XO" accent, I wasn't sure how to attach it the page, as there isn't a good backing for adhesive. I decided to use some thread. I simply pierced a hole in the photo and paper, all the way through. I placed the accent over the photo to use as a guideline for the 6 holes. Then I simply used a needle and thread from the back side, and looped over the rim once, then back through second hole. Repeat two more times and you're done. Remember that stitching and sewing are great ways to add texture and visual interest to your pages.

Aviator and Airplanes Birthday Party Invitation

Hope you're having a lovely Saturday! I just wanted to share some new invitation designs with you. I love the way these turned - bright colors with blue, red and yellow. The feature a little aviator, vintage-style airplanes, and even a helicopter. Every little boy's favorite forms of transportation.  :) 

I have two options. The first has several airplanes, and your choice of six background designs. 

The second features a large airplane flying with an "Up, Up & Away" banner, above the clouds. I added the birthday boy's age on the plane propellers, and I love the way it turned out. He's flying high in the clouds!

Scrapbook Monday: Happy is as happy does

Happy Monday! Hope your week is off to a great start! Just wanted to share a quick scrapbook page of Adelaide's first visit to the farm. I fell in love with this cloud paper the minute I received it, and it was the focus for the page. I wanted to add in some coordinating 'happy' colors such as teal, yellow and pink, which led me to Maggie Holmes' fabric polaroid frames. The page took off from there. The little bag was the icing on top, when I realized the colors matched perfectly.

Sometimes the supplies lead you in the direction they want to go.  :)

You just have to let it happen.

For your next project, pick your favorite item in your supply stash, and build your page around it. As with anything artistic and creative, it's helpful to be in love with the focal point of your page, whether it's the photo, the paper, or the technique(s) you're using. Let the rest of your page flow from there. 

Alice in Wonderland and Mad Hatter Tea Party Birthday or Baby Shower Invitations

I'm excited to share a new line of invitations with you, with an Alice in Wonderland theme.
